why does everything feel so different?

Energy Update: Why Everything Feels So Different in the World

Let’s go back to 2012, the ending of the old Mayan cycle and what many referred to as the dawning of the New Earth.

I remember hearing a lot of doom and gloom surrounding December 21, 2012. Similar to Y2K, there were predictions that we were headed toward some kind of catastrophe… and yet, nothing happened!  Many channelers later clarified that the dawning of a new age wasn’t necessarily about something dramatic happening around us. It was about how we were changing.

So why do integrity and authenticity suddenly seem so much more important in our lives?

I believe it is because we are connecting with ourselves on a much deeper level. We can see this playing out in the media, politics, and society right now. People seem increasingly drawn to those they perceive as authentic and increasingly sensitive to behaviour they see as dishonest or corrupt. The difference may be in how much more sensitive we are becoming to this kind of discernment. We are changing.

In First Nations traditions, there are teachings about trickster energy. The trickster can challenge our assumptions and confront us with the opposite of what we think we want, ultimately pushing us to discover more about ourselves and who we are becoming.

Have you noticed new thoughts or feelings about yourself coming to the surface? Are you finding that your tastes or lifestyle are becoming simpler? Are you feeling a stronger desire to be true to yourself?

I have been witnessing so many positive breakthroughs in my client sessions lately, and I’ve been filled with gratitude. It feels as though there is less room for spiritual fence-sitting. This is the positive news I wanted to share. This is a powerful time to go deeply within yourself and pay attention to this new sensitivity.

For me, it isn’t about rejecting politicians, institutions, or people who misuse power. It is about recognizing and removing the blockages that no longer serve us, both within ourselves and within the social structures we have created.  Even physical challenges can sometimes prompt us to pay closer attention to ourselves. While illness and disease deserve appropriate medical care, they can also be a reminder to listen to our bodies, examine our habits, and consider whether there are areas of our lives that need greater care and attention.

I see many people reassessing their relationship with alcohol, nicotine, THC, food, stress, lack of movement, and other long-standing habits. Others are beginning fitness routines, meditation practices, or simply creating more quiet space in their lives.

If something feels out of balance in your life, perhaps this is an invitation to go a little deeper. Listen to yourself. Notice what is changing. Pay attention to what no longer feels right and what feels increasingly aligned with who you are becoming.

Perhaps the transformation was never meant to happen overnight.

Maybe it was always meant to happen within us.

As always, I am available for a chat or a session.
